JPKI暗証番号リセット is a free utility and tools application developed by 地方公共団体情報システム機構. It provides a reservation system for initializing and resetting the "署名用パスワード" (signature password) of the My Number Card. This app allows users to make a reservation for the initialization and resetting of their signature password at convenience stores or kiosks.

Please note that this app does not support the initialization and resetting of the 4-digit password used for the "新型コロナワクチン接種証明書アプリ" (COVID-19 vaccination certificate app) or the "利用者証明用パスワード" (user authentication password) used for convenience store issuance and My Portal login.

The main feature of this app is the reservation system for initializing and resetting the signature password. It requires a device with a CPU of 1.4GHz or higher, a memory of 2GB or more, and NFC capability.

Please keep in mind the following precautions when using the app:

• Remove the cover or case from the My Number Card when reading it.
• The card surface may not be accurately read due to fluorescent lights or light reflections.
• The card information may not be accurately read on a metal desk.
• Keep the card in place until the reading is complete.
• If the card is not properly positioned, it cannot be read.
